Vera Cruz : Reunion, part 1
I had originally planned for the group to return to Vera Cruz at a later date to tie-up a few things, namely Diego, the
courtship of Rosa, and Roberto's status as an outlaw of sorts, but things just didn't really maneuver themselves into
letting that happen. Thus, Vera Cruz was called "Reunion, part 1" because I had planned for there to be a part 2. You'd
think that I would change the title and just cut-off the "part 1," but it has grown to have special meaning to me - it's a
monument to the unavoidable chaos and player influence involved in running a game. If anyone had ever thought this epic had
no room for the characters to "change the gameplan," let this thoroughly annihilate those suspicions. This, in essence, is a
dedication to my players, and to players around the world. But I digress - again, let me reiterate how much I love the Hazat
and their worlds. The Imperial Survey books still had not been released by now, and again Vera Cruz inspired lots of utopian
images in my mind. The introduction of Roberto's family, the Ramirez Rolas branch was my chance to really create a full
family of Hazat, scrutinizing the Rolas, the noble house, and the nobility as a whole all at the same time. I had a lot of
fun making and running them. Here's to the Hazat!
