Yes, I hereby admit to being one who plays Role Playing Games, and of this I am proud. My imagination and creativity have grown from it, not only from playing, but also running the occasional game.
I began in late 1993, at least with White Wolf it began then. A friend of mine picked up Werewolf first edition and convinced me to play under his storytelling. I enjoyed the game though I felt Werewolf was not so much my bag of tricks. It wasn't until quite later that I was drawn into a Vampire game in Indiana during a summer break. Only four session were available to me but I truly enjoyed the mood and the theme. I have since dabbled in Wraith and Mage but still have a taste for the flagship of WoD.
To any who may be concerned for my well-being, I know full well that I am not a Vampire, and while I do feel that anything that has not been proven to not exist could possibly, I do not sweat in fear at each nights' falling.
I have been told before that I have a decent and inventive imagination but that doesn't make me any more confident when trying to come up with a new story line. As a result, I have certain tricks and techniques to coming up with a new plot line for my players to be tormented by. More often than not, they arise from a movie plot. I am a film student and as a result I watch lots of strange and lesser known movies. I feel confident that many of the plots I borrow from movies are usually not going to be seen by my players, my eclectic taste covers that.
Most often I ignore the main plot and go straight for a more surreal and unusual subplot, something I can build on. I'm looking for inspiration, not an entire story. I supplement this with villains a quirks picked up from random media. I tend to channel surf a lot and I get snippets of TV shows and Movies without the benefit of a story. From these I can take a theme or idea and supplement them into my story as a major or minor villain.
I am sorry to say, however, that I am not much of a reader. It is one thing that I have tried to change and have failed at for quite some time. I am proud to say that lately I have been catching up on some reading and actually reading some source books for WoD and have proudly been able to add some actual meta-plot to my most recent chapter.
Inspiration also comes from art. I try to use images with my text in the writing of my Chronicle in order to give my page a similar feel to the books that White Wolf™ publishes. Most of the artwork herein is therefore taken from the very artists that have submitted to White Wolf™. I must add, however, that for most of the artwork, I have personally contacted the artists for permission to use their work. Many of these are not scans from published material, but scans of the originals. Artwork used with artist permission will open a new window when you move your mouse over the actual image. Images scanned from books, however, will not show any kind of notation. I would like to thank the following artists for their permission:
- Francois Launet
- Christopher Shy
- Ken Meyer, Jr.
My inspirations, therefore, come from a massive collection of media sources: movies, TV, books, video games, news reports and anything else I can get may eyes, ears, or hands on. People tell me that I do a good job with my games and are always ready to come back next week and it is the praise I get that is the greatest inspiration of all.

I realize that this is not a White Wolf font, but I really like the game and the font, so here it is.

Both of these are standard Microsoft Fonts, you might have them on you PC already.
I use ICQ a lot and I eventually made a Skin for it based on Vampire: The Masquerade. I wasn't originally going to put it up here, as I never feel like it's really done. However, with all the times I've been rebuilding my computer lately, I figgured this would be the safest place for it. Besides, this way all you Vampire nuts would be able to enjoy the ephemeral Black and Green in at least one more form. To apply the skin, you will need both the skin file, and ICQPlus (an add on for ICQ).

VTMChar is a character generator I use from time to time. It's not perfect to say the least, but it works (most of the time). The best part about it is that with a little work it can be made to work with any WoD game even though it's primarilly Vampire. Also, you can manually enter skills, abilities, merits, flaws or what have you rather than using it's pull down options. Again, a very handy option. I was going to put the link the web site of the guy who created it, but it's unavailable at this time so here's the zip file of the latest version. Feel free to download, use and share it, but please, read the Bloodware requirements for registration.
